Easter
"The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you."
– Romans 8:11
Easter — the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ — is the most significant event in human history. Over 2,000 years ago, Jesus went to the cross, bore the sins of all mankind, and rose from the grave, defeating sin and death once and for all. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son…” John 3:16 This is the Gospel — the Good News.
Through faith in Jesus, we are forgiven, restored into a relationship with our Heavenly Father, and given eternal life. But Easter is not just about our eternal destination — it is about how we live today. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now lives in us. That means we are not just saved — we are empowered. As sons and daughters of the Most High, we have access to resurrection power to live differently, lead differently, and impact the world around us.
Resurrection Power Gives Us New Identity: Because of the cross and resurrection, we are no longer defined by our past — we are defined by who we are in Christ. We are: Redeemed, Restored, Reconciled, and made Righteous. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” 2 Corinthians 5:17This is foundational. We don’t strive for identity — we live from it. As leaders, this changes everything. We lead not out of insecurity or performance, but from a place of sonship — fully accepted and empowered by God to do great Kingdom work that He has prepared in advance for us.
Resurrection Power Transforms How We Live and Lead: The resurrection is not just a historical event — it is a present-day reality.“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”John 10:10Because of Jesus, we have access to: Hope — even in adversity (Romans 5:3–5), Purpose — we are created for meaningful work (Ephesians 2:10), Faith — confidence in what God is doing (Hebrews 11:1), Joy — not dependent on circumstances (Ro ,, mans 15:13) and Life — an abundant, Spirit-filled life (John 10:10). In a world that is searching for these things, we already have access to them through Christ. This is what sets us apart as leaders in the Kingdom.
Resurrection Power Is Meant to Flow Through Us: The power of Easter is not meant to stop with us — it is meant to flow through us.“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live…”John 11:25As we abide in Christ, His life begins to show up in how we: Love people, Lead teams, Serve others, Build businesses, and Impact our communities. This is how we bring Heaven to earth. As leaders in the Abide & Lead community, we have the opportunity to carry this resurrection power into every room we walk into — not just in words, but in how we live.
Easter is more than a special day each year to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus — it is a reminder we are called to live in the Resurrection Power of Christ every day. The resurrection reminds us that we are forgiven, we are free, we are empowered, and we are sent. We don’t serve a distant God.
We serve a risen Savior. And His Spirit lives within us. “He is able to do immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine…”Ephesians 3:20
Challenge Question: Am I living each day with resurrection power — or am I settling for something less than what Christ died and rose to give me?
Prayer: Father, thank You for the gift of Your Son and the power of the resurrection. Thank You that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us. Help us to live as sons and daughters — confident, empowered, and aligned with Your purpose. Let Your resurrection power flow through our lives and leadership so that others may see You in us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Hallelujah… Christ is Risen! Have a blessed Easter!!!
